Black Coffee

In a white cup

A black foam formed

With bubbles golden brown

Steam rising

Like the morning sun

 

It is warm in taste

Sweat on throat

When it kisses my lips

My tongue runs to check

If it’s honey.

 

My black favour

In smiles all time

When roosters crows

When sun heats overhead

When crickets noises

And frogs calling their mates

My favoured flavour

Is right there

Smiling to my heart.
