I miss you

Ayushi Jawanpuria

Dear dad, I miss you.

It’s been a year since I lost you,

I miss you a lot dad.

I miss those cute moments when you used to feed me,

How lovely they were.

Dear dad, I miss you.

I miss our little fights for that last piece of cake,

How amazing they were.

Dear dad, I miss you.

I miss those moments when we used to irritate mum together,

How funny they were.

Dear dad, I miss you.

I miss those moments when we used to play cards,

I still remember you used to loose intentionally just to make me smile.

How cute they were.

Dear dad, I miss you.

I miss those moments when you used to get angry on me and I tried to make you smile,

How sweet they were.

Dear dad, I miss you.

I miss those moments when we used to wear matching clothes,

How charming they were.

Dear dad, I miss you.

I miss those moments when I was sick and you used to be awake whole night so that I can sleep,

How comfortable they were.

Dear dad, I miss you.

I know when you heard the news of cancer,

You were broken as hell and I couldn’t speak a word,

That was the worst thing ever in my life happened.

Dear dad, I miss you, I miss you.
