A renown female musician Mary Wangare Gioche alias Kareh B, Angel Wanjiku caught up with her.

* Tell us a brief about yourself

I am a hardworking, God fearing and very open minded.

* Did you always want to be a musician?

No. I always wanted to be a lawyer…I’m thinking I should pursue to be an Entertainment Lawyer.

* How long have you been in the music industry?

I have been in the performing industry sing 2009 but ventured into the recording artist in 2017.

* Tell us about the mainstream hits you’ve produced

The hits were hearsay but as they say “Don’t judge a book by its cover.”

* Tell us more about music and any others career you are involved in?

I love music in general. Any genre, any language that attracts me is fine. I am also a stage and film actor and I love it.

* What is your greatest hit?

I call it OUR great hit because it was collaboration with Jose Gatutura…”Tuirio Twega”

* Are you a resident entertainer in any club, if yes which one?

I am currently at Galileo Lounge Westlands Every Wednesday.

* What is your best video? What is your best viewership in YouTube, how many views?

My best video is “Haha ní Gútee prt2.” It’s just missing 300k views to hit a million views.

* Who is your best role model in music locally and internationally?

My role model is Erick Wainaina, Nameless and of course Sauti Sol because they not only sing but they also entertain (There’s a difference.) Again they have made music their business.

Internationally my role model was Whitney Houston (May her soul rest in peace). But currently I love Adelle her vocals are just phenomenal.

* What would you like people to know, what they don’t know about you?

I am an introvert and also interior designer.

* What are we expecting in future from you, any surprise?

I have learnt over to e that you can never plan a surprise…instead the surprise surprises you

But you can definitely expect more music and videos from me.

* Final word to your fans…

To my fans I love you all and God bless you.
