Her eyes are wide as they stare into yours. You wrap your arm around her waist and pull her in close. She touches your face, and you lean in, tilt your head to the right, and of course your lips connect. The rushing sensation leaves you little room to wonder, “Why the hell I’m I doing this anyway?”  But that’s a KISS we have heard of kissing on several occasions, taken a step to practice it n still spare some time to talk about it with our mates. So, the question is, what is this kissing we hear of.

It means touching or pressing with the lips slightly pursed and then often to part them and to emit a smacking sound in an expression of affection, love, greeting among others.

There are different types of kisses including the French kiss which is often preferred to be wet and open-mouthed, the forehead kiss which shows affection, love and care, and it is in most cases from parents to children, the hand kiss which when combined with a bow shows a sign of respect, a peck which is a simple light touch of the lips, and it’s pretty hard to mess up and so on and so forth.

Do animals kiss? The answer is, yes, they do. The bonobo chimpanzees give each other big wet kisses quite often which look like human romantic kissing. While most animals rub noses with each other as a gesture of affection, others like to pucker up JUST LIKE HUMANS. They do it to make up after fights, to comfort each other, to develop social bonds and sometimes for no clear reason at all – just like us.

Well, some feelings are difficult to express and explain, but most humans kiss because it feels good. Our lips and tongues are packed with nerve endings which help intensify those dizzying sensations of being in love when we press our mouths so someone else’s. Experiencing such feelings doesn’t usually make us think too hard about why we kiss, instead it drives us to find ways to do it more often.

Some kisses are totally sex driven and far from Platonic……. Open mouth and tongue kissing are especially effective in upping the level of sexual arousal because they increase the amount of saliva produced and exchanged. The more spit you swap, the more turned on you’ll get. The two lips touch each other with some suction. That’s it. You’ll release, look into each other’s eyes, and you’ll think, It. Is. Magical.
